Since the Swegon Air Academy website was launched in the past weeks, more than 100 people have registered in just two days to become members of the Swegon Air Academy network. And Kristi’s name was drawn from the first 100 registered Swegon Air Academy members to be the winner of an iPAD2!
Here is the interview with Kristi.
Kristi, please tell us more about yourself and what do you do?
I’ve been working in the HVAC field for almost 10 years now, most of it in Estonia but also for a short period in the Middle East. For the last 2 years I’ve been working as an energy assessor. The REHVA Conference and Annual Meeting 2011 were held in Tallinn in 2011 and I was a member of the organizing team of that event. For last 3 years I’ve been also an active member of Estonian Society of Heating and Ventilation Engineers.
How did you get to know about the Swegon Air Academy? Have you ever attended any seminars in Estonia or elsewhere?
I’ve been attending Swegon Air Academy events for years now and I am happy that Swegon Air Academy seminar in Tallinn is something to look forward to.
How come you have decided to become a member of Swegon Air Academy?
I’m a fan of Swegon Air Academy. The work you are doing in spreading the word of good indoor environment is necessary.
Do you think that the new Swegon Air Academy website has a lot to offer? Are you happy with the content in the website? Do you have any favorites?
From Swegon Air Academy website I value the most the presentations from the seminars, bookstore and research findings. I find it useful in my everyday work
Do you have any thoughts on what else you would like to get as benefits from the Swegon Air Academy membership in the future? What kind of benefits or increased value would you like to see in the future?
I’m sure I could benefit more when I find RSS feed option from the website, now it is well hidden.
How seriously is IEQ taken by your customers and branch colleagues in Estonia?
Today I see that the focus is more in saving energy than in good indoor climate and that is a shame. Saving energy is important but not at the expense of people!
How is business in your home market at the moment and what are your hopes for our profession for the future?
Business in Estonia nowadays is mostly driven by obligation of saving energy. It is good that the recession years are over and hopefully next recession will not come soon. I’m happy that a lot of good engineering companies survived the recession and they continue doing the great work they are used to do.
Congratulation again! Hope that you enjoy your new iPAD2.
Thank you and good luck with Swegon Air Academy.
