New Swedish Building Energy Usage Level Still Too Weak!

If Sweden is to stay on target to meet its 2020 commitments, then a value of 70 kWh/(m2.a) would have been more appropriate according to the Swedish Centre for Net Zero Energy Buildings. The range as can be seen in the figure goes from 130 down to 45 kWh/(m2.a), but most values are towards the higher end.

The housing group HSB has commented on the new building guidelines, and would like to see values for both new and existing buildings. The new rules are planned to come into effect from February 2015 with a change-over period of a year.
