In Swegon Air Academy seminar in Clermont-Ferrand in France on November 21, 2014, on topic of “Health and energy issues in commercial buildings” my favorite lecturers were brought together to talk about the importance of health and energy in buildings.
Pascal Valladont talked about one of the most amazing renovated building in France which is the headquarters of HDL and it was in a terrible state, but today is actually performing as a low-energy building. One slide showed the monitored electrical consumption for ventilation system throughout the years after renovation varying from 57,7 kWhep/m2 in 2008 down to 42,5 kWhep/m2 which was the target value for this building.
Suzanne Deoux is an excellent lecturer and as always she engaged the audience in her lecturer and lots of French conversation happened during her lecture, which I was very sorry not to understand. But from the faces of all attendees I could see that they have more than enjoyed talking to an expert on indoor air quality and ask various questions related to their own issues in the buildings.
