History of ventilation: Ventilation hoods for the warm rising air at certain buildings in 1500s!

Occasional public meeting rooms outside the auspices of the Church was fitted with fuel-driven ventilation with high ventilation hoods where heated air was discharged. Two early examples, both from Belgium: castle hall in Bruges in 1537 and the town hall in Antwerp in 1565.
