Energy performance labeling is coming up to a new 4 year cycle, where the old A++ will become a G. In order to keep pace with developments in the market, measures are being taken to strengthen market surveillance. Adraft working plan for 2015-17 is due to be release in the coming days where aspects of the circular economy will be a key part. Durability and recyclability will try to also help develop new product groups within ERP. Further co-operation with the US should also be expected in this area mainly in terms of better communication on future thinking.
Broadly energy labeling has been seen to be fit for purpose, has strengthen compliance and Ecodesign is fit for purpose.
