Swegon Air Academy is all about knowledge sharing! And we got awarded for it from SCANVAC!
The SCANVAC Award is granted every second year to private individuals, companies or organisations in the Nordic countries who have made outstanding contributions in the area of HVAC technologies. In 2018 the recipient of this highly appreciated recognition is Swegon Air Academy.
Swegon Air Academy
Swegon Air Academy has contributed to greater awareness about subjects such as energy issues, healthy indoor environments and knowledge of ventilation. In collaboration with leading HVAC experts, complex problems are explained in a comprehensible way, making them understandable to people. Swegon Air Academy as we as Scanvac are deeply convinced that poorly functioning building systems can be significantly improved to provide a healthier indoor climate at a reasonable cost if the whys and wherefores can be explained.
Swegon Air Academy shares knowledge through seminars, webinars and online videos, active participation in conferences and exhibitions, and education programs for building owners and consults. Since 2005, Air Academy has organized more than 350 events, with more than 500 distinguished international speakers and over 16 000 participants.
Publications are also part of activities at Swegon Air Academy. Publications include: “AIR Swegon Air Academy”, 622 pages about good indoor climate and energy-efficient ventilation; “Simply EPBD” – guide to the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive; “Simply GREEN” about energy and environmental certifications of buildings; and “HISTORY of Ventilation Technology” – ventilation technology from the past to the present.
Academy has active collaboration with organizations such as REHVA and ASHRAE and has contribute to various books and journals. Swegon Air Academy website (www.swegonairacademy.com) is constantly providing interesting news within our field of work.

Online and future
Swegon Air Academy, as a great initiative, has provided us and other industry professionals with a very good arena to drive important industry issues. It is a very valuable “networking arena” for many people – enabling positive sharing of best practices. And in the future, we will add features that are also linked to other areas of competence areas.
