Swegon Air Academy seminar “XIII. International Seminar Swegon Air Academy on WELL building standard” in St. Petersburg, Russia was conducted on 14th of February 2019. Gerrit-Jan Teunissen´s bio

Gerrit- Jan Teunissenn is WELL Accredited Professional & Faculty Member, LEED AP BD&C/O&M and LEED Fellow Nominee. Gerrit-Jan is the first WELL and LEED Accredited Professional in the Netherlands. He is responsible for the first LEED certification in the Netherlands (November 2010), and is currently responsible for the majority LEED registered projects in the Netherlands. As a consultant in energy and sustainability at TRAJECT, he gained experience in green building (design as well as operations and maintenance) in sustainable projects in the Netherlands and in abroad countries (e.g. Brazil, Dubai, Hungary, Belgium, Switzerland, Denmark). His contribution to project teams are energy technology consultancy, cost calculations, integrative design management, management consultancy, integration management, commissioning, maintenance planning etc.

Introduction to WELL building standard  for buildings;

The importance of Health & Wellbeing;

Focus on (the “concepts”): not only technical measures, also “soft”-services (cleaning, catering, pest control, biophilia design, movement);

Experience with certifications for real buildings and case studies including some key features;

Benefits for owners & occupants;

NL is second largest WELL registered space in EU, and I am responsible for a few new and existing certification projects. I’m able to illustrate some key features with own project photo’s;
