Ida has worked with indoor air quality and energy efficiency in buildings for over 30 years, both as a practitioner and researcher. Her career started at SINTEF, the Norwegian Research Institute. Her work on energy efficiency has included building structures, technical installations and energy supplies. Ida has worked especially with single and double glass facades and glass atriums both through construction projects and research projects. Research projects include theoretical analysis, calculations, measurements and development of quality control. Ida has both initiated and developed R&D assignments and has won several competitions with her work. She has been responsible for her current firm’s R&D projects for the last 15 years.
Ida also holds a Professor position at Oslo and Akershus University College of Applied Sciences, with responsibility in the field of “Energy Design and Building Physics”.
