Evidence in the Air - Key Findings from the BHAT Research Study
Happening online | 3 December 2026 | 14:00-15:00 (CET)
We measure pollution on our streets. But what happens inside the buildings where we live, learn, work and exercise?
IAQS and Swegon Air Academy are pleased to present the latest findings from BHAT (Breathe Healthy Air Together), a research initiative exploring the realities of indoor air quality across a wide range of environments.
Drawing on a year of continuous monitoring in 120 buildings, combined with in-depth investigations in homes, hospitals, offices, gyms and classrooms, BHAT brings the invisible into focus. The research reveals how everyday activities, occupancy levels, building characteristics and seasonal changes influence the air we breathe indoors.
From unexpected particle peaks to persistent ventilation challenges, the findings offer new evidence that questions common assumptions about indoor environments.
Join us to discover what the data tells us about exposure patterns, indoor air dynamics, and practical steps to help create healthier buildings.
Whether you are a building manager, policymaker, researcher, employer or occupant, these insights provide valuable guidance for improving indoor air quality and protecting public health.
Join us to hear Daniel Boon, Professor at the Institute of Physics at the University of Amsterdam and Jon Green, Director of IAQS. Mikael Börjesson from Swegon will be moderating.
