What is radon?

What is radon?

  • Inert gas
  • Not visible
  • Does not smell
  • It cannot be detected by conventional gas chromatography
  • Gas can be measured because it is radioactive

Types of radiation:

  • Alpha (α)
  • Beta (β)
  • Gamma (γ)

Materials:

  • Paper with density of 600 kg/m3 and thickness of 0,02 cm (white color)
  • Wood with density of 500 kg/m3 and thickness of 10 cm (yellow color)
  • Concrete with density of 2,300 kg/m3 and thickness of 50 cm (grey color)
