In May 2015, Swegon Air Academy organized two seminars on topic of “Is it possible to get a high thermal comfort in the building with optimal energy consumption?” in Krakow and Lodz, Poland. The seminars were attended by total of 90 people and there were very interesting discussions happening after the seminars.
Peter Simmonds presented a great overview of his work with tall buildings where he focused on performance of buildings and occupants´ comfort. He provided step by step instructions how to design tall buildings and variable air volume systems compared to more advanced systems.
Carlos Lisboa talked about the new design guidebook on beam systems by ASHRAE and REHVA. Carlos presented many interesting tips on how to work with beams, especially about condensation prevention strategy, load calculations, functions and requirements for beam applications, and more.
