Robert Tozer

Robert is Managing Director of Operational Intelligence Ltd, United Kingdom. Robert’s wide and extended experience in the Mission Critical Facilities industry working on design, reliability, energy efficiency and commissioning together with his academic achievements have provided him with the theoretical and practical tools to develop innovative solutions. These include free cooling designs, commissioning strategies, air management metrics and data centre energy assessment tools.

He is author of over 40 papers on reliability and energy efficiency and refrigeration, has authored several patents on data centre free cooling designs, has written many white papers (in English and Spanish) and speaks regularly at Data Centre Dynamics conferences. He received the prize for Outstanding Contribution to Industry at the inaugural DCD LATAM awards in 2012. He is a Visiting Fellow at South Bank University and has participated in many technical committees (ASHRAE, CIBSE, BREEAM, The Green Grid, and European Code of Conduct).

Ricardo Abad

Ricardo leads Quark, a Spanish engineering firm specializing in data center design and consultancy. He is a Mechanical Engineer, ATD by Uptime Institute and Data Center Design Specialist (DCS Design) for DC Professional Development, Trainer of specialized courses, Keynote Speaker of the sector at level International and more than 20 years developing Mission Critical Facilities projects.

Throughout his professional career, he has been a member of the Board of Directors and the Technology Transfer from ASHRAE Spain Chapter and Vice-President of ICREA (International Computer Room Expert Asociation) in Spain. The team that leads has managed to become a reference in the sector at the international level, Mainly in Spain and Latin America, working for the great leaders of the Data sector Centers in this geographical area. This success has been reflected in 6 International Prestige Awards: Awarded by entities such as Uptime Institute, Datacenter Dynamics and IDC in the last 5 years. Due to the innovation in the solutions, its energy efficiency and the careful aesthetics of its proposals. In their possession they have more than 50,000 m2 of designed IT Rooms, distributed in 8 countries. It also has 6 projects certified by Uptime Institute, 4 in the Tier IV category and 2 in the Tier III category.
