Life cycle assessment (LCA) and environmental product declarations (EPD) contribute to an increasing accuracy and transparency of environmental impacts of products and the building industry as a whole. These insights enable people and companies like end customer, property owners, architects and/or the consultant to calculate CO2 footprints more reliably.

The customer can make a more informed decision and gets more power when choosing environmentally friendly building products. It becomes easier to balance quality, cost and the environment. A lot of material suppliers already have published EPD in place for their products or at least done LCAs, i.e. concrete, wood, steel. Now a fast growing focus for installations in a building (HVAC, lighting solution, etc.) is next in line.

In this webinar we will listen to suppliers of installation products and how they have been working with this question. Learn about how they have worked within their organizations with:

  • Collection of data.
  • Calculations – internal resources or external consultant? What are the pros and cons?
  • Possibilities with EPDs/LCAs from a supplier perspective and customer perspective.

This webinar is for property owners and architects and for everyone who works as a consultant and needs to calculate the carbon footprint.

This webinar is curated and hosted by Swegon Air Academy.
