In order to reach the global climate targets the building industry needs to contribute. This Swegon Air Academy webinar will address the need for new ways of doing business in order to minimize embodied carbon in technical installations.

Circularity in the building and HVAC industry is one promising strategy to cut carbon emissions in a major way. We will listen to Combient Pure, which helps industry-leading companies co-create and transition to low-carbon and circular business solutions. During a one-year-long Circularity Development Program, a collaboration project for companies in the building sector, Combient Pure helped the participating companies explore new processes and business models for a circular transformation.

Combient Pure will provide examples from different stakeholders from the value chain and share the main insights and findings from the program. As there are only very limited industry standards for circularity yet, collaboration and communication between manufacturers and other value chain members are essential for creating circular solutions. We will touch upon topics such as customer needs, circularity measurement practices, and how to maintain the value of products after their first use cycle, i.e. dismantling and reversed logistics, product life extension, circular sourcing and procurement.

We will also listen to Swegon as a participant in this project and hear about their experiences and their ongoing work with reuse, refurbishment, and other RE-tactics that will be important for the HVAC business to decarbonize. How can all of this be applied to the HVAC industry? What are the motivators and the challenges?

Is circularity and new business models opening up new opportunities for Real estate owners? We will also touch upon the findings from the investor's perspective. Will the linear economy be valid in the future? The speakers will link together indoor environmental quality (IEQ), embodied and operational carbon, environmental product declarations (EPDs) and circularity in building installations and give an outlook for future strategies when it comes to circularity.

This webinar is free to attend online and hosted by the Swegon Air Academy.

Registration will open soon.
